Notice of Public Meeting Regarding the Orange County Drainage District’s Sabine River Relief Ditch Extension and Expansion Project (TWDB Project No. 40019)

The Orange County Drainage District is excited to conduct a Public Meeting to provide information and answer questions regarding its Sabine River Relief Ditch and Expansion Project (TWDB Project No. 40019). The meeting will be held on March 8, 2022 at the offices of the Orange County Drainage District located at 8081 Old Highway 90, Orange, Texas 77630.

Please attend to discover how this new project will improve drainage to the citizens of Orange County, Texas and what you can do to ensure the success of this important drainage improvement project.

South East Texas Regional Planning Commission will hold a public meeting on Thursday, January 27th at 5:30 p.m. to gather public input for updating the Regional Hazard Mitigation Plans for Hardin, Jasper, Jefferson, and Orange Counties.

The meeting will be held at the South East Texas Regional Planning Commission (SETRPC), 2210 Eastex Freeway, Beaumont, TX 77703 in the Nagel Room. Public Participation Survey

The Commission also encourages interested citizens to complete the Commission’s Public Participation Survey (link below) to assist the Commission’s consultant team in gathering important data to analyze potential hazards affecting residents and recommend possible actions to reduce their impact. Hazards included are flood, dam failure, tornado, thunderstorm wind, drought, hail, wildfire, winter storm, lightning, extreme heat, hurricane, and coastal erosion.

Public Notice: SETRPC to Host Hazard Mitigation Workshop

The South East Texas Regional Planning Commission (“SETRPC”) is hosting a Risk Assessment Workshop in conjunction with development of a FEMA-mandated Hazard Mitigation Action Plan Update for the SETRPC planning area, including Hardin, Jasper, Jefferson, and Orange counties. The public is invited to attend and provide input as to steps to be taken to increase the region’s ability to respond to natural and man-made disasters. Take the survey and make your voice heard.
